While we are discussing stained glass, you shouldn’t miss Marc Chagall’s stained glass America Windows. Chagall created this work in 1977 as a gift to the city of Chicago. It is beautiful with amazing American details. We stop by to view it almost every visit.
Another not-to-be missed is the Monet Exhibit running through June14.
The incredibly famous American Gothic by Grant Wood is there.
Rushed for time? The Art Institute has made it easy for you by producing What to See in An Hour.
The equally famous Edward Hopper masterpiece Nighthawks is our absolute favorite.
Before You Go
The Art Institute is open, but please check ahead for Covid policies and restrictions. Advance ticket purchase is currently required. Restaurant services are currently closed due to the pandemic which is a bummer because we enjoy lunch at Terzo Piano. However there are many dining options nearby. There is so much incredible art in Chicago. We visit there often.
